Traktor Pro S4 Setup-Guide

Dieser Setup-Guide will dir dabei helfen, Traktor Pro S4 möglichst einfach ans Laufen zu bekommen.

Schritt 1: Installiere Traktor Pro S4 1.0.0

Schritt 2: Aktiviere Traktor Pro S4

Starte das Native Instruments Service Center. Windows-User finden diese Anwendung in Start/Alle Programme/Native Instruments/Service Center. Mac-User finden das Programm im Ordner Programme/Native Instruments/Service Center.

Native Instruments Service Center

USB-Anzeige

Schritt 5: Starte Traktor Pro S4

Starte Traktor Pro S4.

You need to recalibrate your jog wheels as explained in step 7. This should do the trick.

Some jog wheels, at the S4 first startup it stop come off at deck B. However I did the recalibrate works fine now.

But ? how to handle the volume knob in the samples section. Running 4 samples at one time at the same volume it's that good. Any suggestions other then using the trackpad?

The S4 rocks, Select the deck you need Shift and for volume, Shift, knob move-active. For filter use size-set.

Here's a set-up question:

I've just purchased the S4 and I have only one issue:
The right rotary loop length knob doesn't seem to be working properly. It reduces the loop length no matter which way I turn it (turning to the left should reduce the loop length and turning the knob to the right should increase the loop length). Is there any way to reset this knob or to change the settings for it somewhere? The left one works fine.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello ! I purchased Traktor S4 everything seems to be ok except one thing...
the volume level of the headphones seems low..
No, I am not deaf :) but in comparison with Audio 8 it's not the same thing for sure.
I have the controller powered up with usb and power cord.
If i unable the option limiter in the preferences i get distortion.
Also i tried to maximize volume through the software ( in the crossfader section but i get distortion again. )

Please help me !!

Hi thinking about buying S4, Im a mobile DJ and just wondered if there is the facility to just play a playlist, like on Traktor 3, i realise this defeats the object of having a controller but I also have a club residency and will be using it to its full potential then. thanks

Well, just in case some people are wondering if they should get one; don't. Bought a unit. Serial number was used by someone else. Waited 2 weeks for support. Then the device doesn't turn on. Support stays silent. Worst equipment purchase I've made by far. Such a terrible support service.

Hey. I seem to have a problem. I bought the traktor kontrol S4. Downloading the software is the problem. I download from the CD and want to start up. It seems that the service center is not downloaded. I tried this for three times now (with deleting everything from my computer the whole time).

Also what I tried is downloading the service center seperately from Native Instruments website, but it just doesn't work, since it says there's an older version found.

What can I do about this?

Hey, i just bought the Traktor S4 a couple of days ago and ever since i bought it i cant cue a song in my headphones. I think its because i don't have speakers i'm just using my laptop, but then again shouldn't i be able to listen to the cue of my second track and honestly i'm just getting annoyed by now. Anyone know why? or can help me solve this problem?

Hey,

I got my S4 about a week ago and have yet to get it work properly. I've contacted NI about it and they haven't been able to give me any information that fixes my problem. The load buttons do not work on either side, the play buttons do not work on the other side, none of the sampler buttons work on either side, and none of the buttons below each play sample button work on each side. I've recalibrated the wheels, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and updated drivers. Nothing seems to be working.

Just purchased my new traktor kontrol s4. It is awesome, yet it takes a long time to start up. It also sends out static or short misses during play, like it is skipping.

I have Windows Vista 32 Bit 4G of Ram, even thought about going to Best buy to have them turn off any applications that I am not using.

Any thoughts that I may use to prevent the future hiccups, before I start my next gig?

Please Help...

Howzit! Ok, I cannot calibrate as I do not have the Jog Wheel "calibration option"! It ends with crossfader one! What went wrong?

I also figured out when using the jog wheels as a scratching device that the music sometimes stops even if I release the dial! the same with the rim! If I move it to hard (quick) the music stops. It's most probably a setting thing - but I just got the tool :) Thanks

Just download from NI website Traktor Pro 2 trial and activate with your serial number.

I've been trying to update to my free upgrade to traktor 2, I follow all the procedures till my screen says download successfull. After this I am so lost. I open up Traktor S4, still the same old version, no upgrade. What the heck am I doing? I feel left out of all the fun and benefits all the other S4 owners are having. What's the procedure after the update is in my download window? I am not very computer savvy.

Tried left and then right calibration.

Its works pretty straight forward for the left wheel , however for the right wheel i calibrate more than 4 times to get it successful.

Why is this so? Or is the unit unstable?

I gotta admit it wasn't "plug n play" but my patience paid off...this badboy is sweet! Everything works fine and the crew at guitarcenter in Kalamazoo Michigan were down to earth and cool as fuk. Only thing I haven't been able to do is upgrade to traktor pro2. Any tips??

The lights are on the S4, so again, looks as if things are working. Just zero sound. I am using Window's 7, and have downloaded all of the updates via the NI site. Is there a specific config I should be using based on Window 7?
